Democracy is not a Road Safety Priority

RE: Supercars not for novice drivers

What is the point of allowing cars with top speeds of up to 330 kph, when the maximum allowable road speed limits are at 90 kph in SG?

Relying on the 'self-control' of these sports car owners to keep within the speed limits is akin to hoping that addicts would ration their heroin intake, while providing them with heroin in suitcases.

Only official, security and emergency vehicles ought to be built for top speeds beyond the maximum allowable road speed limits.

Yes, what I mean is physically tweak all vehicles to cap the top speed. If we can install an ERP reader in every car, we can limit the top speeds of all vehicles.

If some people like to drive fast cars, they can buy/rent/store and drive them in a customised facility somewhere in Changi or Tuas or even as part of an Integrated Resort. Same goes for cyclists. Like how one can enjoy horse-riding in Singapore. Safe and sanitary.

If these people really have to drive on the roads to get their kick, then they shall be able to every once in a while, through a large-scale corporate-sponsored event akin to annual running marathons. The organisers can even stage the event by planting moving normal cars along the route to simulate actual road conditions.
