Females are not helping themselves either

RE: Equal Pay and the Gender Gap: Men Still Outearn Women - TIME

The article and many researchers fail to notice and/or mention that females are sexist towards their own kind too.

In daily speak, this phenomenon is demonstrated and known as 'being bitchy'. Something which males enjoy observing and sniggering at.

Some females do it outwardly. Others do it in a passive-aggressive manner, e.g. smiling sweetly while passing snide remarks. The main point is that these females (i) see other females as competition and (ii) cannot stop themselves from putting down other females, either verbally or in terms of action.

I find such female behaviour utterly primitive and embarrassing. An entire generation worth of education has gone down the drain. It's so pathetic that I laugh while typing this.

Because of such tightly-held discrimination against their own kind, even if they refuse to admit it, females are in general more convinced when males are groomed for more and/or made their bosses, than when other females are. Even when the males are less qualified (in terms of experience, training etc).

Sexism (aka a type of discrimination) can be conscious or sub/un-conscious.

So far, I believe that there is no point trying to convince and/or persuade anyone who discriminates otherwise. The most effective solution is carrot and stick, i.e. forget about changing the person's beliefs, change the outcome instead. E.g. by giving incentives or to penalise via legislation.

Overcoming sexism requires females to band together. Males, enjoying the upper hand since the dawn of time, ain't gonna serve gender equality to you on a silver platter with lacey trimmings and collagen-filled icing. Last thing females should be indulging in is to view one another as competition and destroy one another.

It would be interesting to study the dynamics of all-female sports team vs all-male sports team.
