Apart from the great fight scenes (they fight like Asian wushu masters), Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a disappointment.
Mainly, it's due to the faulty story line.
(A) Be Careful of the Foreign Talents: They bring with them their personal baggage.
By allowing the Autobots to hang around on Earth (specifically in the US), the Autobots brought along their personal baggage such as their homeland problems with the Decepticons, and had it resolved on Earth.
(B) Optimus Prime is a human (American)-lover.
It makes him quite a bit of an SPG. It's too weird.
I also think that Optimus Prime secretly want to be the leader of Autobots AND Decepticons. Hence the ruthless eradication of Megatron and Sentinel Prime.
Optimus Prime is such a yawn!
Another complaint! Megatron died all too quickly in this episode. They made him lame like Starscream in this episode. Very disappointed.
The only saving grace is Sentinel Prime, the coolest Autobot ever. (Usually, only Decepticons are cool.)
I love his weapons and his fluid and swift fight moves. And his goal is correct. Only to be overruled by the 'righteous' Optimus Prime. *snore*
