Evening Walk

Our evening walks take us to different spots within reasonable distance of the home.

One of the evenings this week, we made our way to Bugis Village and was greeted by Mr Afro Jackfruit with Wonder Girls singing Nobody in the background.

Though I like the Parkview Square building, I've never visited it. This, I think, is a crane/ bird of sorts taking off in the centre of the garden of Parkview Square.
It must be the only spot on Earth where you can find Plato and Churchill in a single space.

And every once in a while, you find a 'Good Fren' posing amidst these famous dead people.

As we walked along the Golden Mile, we decided to cross the road and venture into Kampong Glam. We found a Chinese Opera Troupe performing for the gods.
We later headed for Bugis Junction because someone needed a slice of chocolate cake. O_o

Such walks usually take about 2 hours (including dinner), but you don't feel its length, especially when you are in great company and updating each other on your day.

Exploring the neighbourhood on foot allows one to experience it from a different perspective. Try it sometime.
