Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton)

We caught Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland in 3D.

For me, it brought back childhood memories and more...

"Why is a raven like a writing desk?"

I found the Mad Hatter to be a really sad creature. Almost with a death wish. Like Sergeant First Class William James in the Hurt Locker.

Though it is speculated that the Mad Hatter is mad because of mercury poisoning associated with his craft, I thought Tim Burton let us into the Mad Hatter's mind for a moment, when he suggested that Alice need not return to 'her world'. The Mad Hatter must have gone through those departures of Alice over and over again... Every night when Alice goes to bed since she can remember. If so, there should be no surprise that the Mad Hatter is mad.

I think this interpretation of the original story is brilliant. Everyone loves the Red Queen. I love Cheshire Cat. He was kneading and clawing at the Mad Hatter's hat as he proclaimed that that he loved the hat. Ahhh... The attention to details... Tiger kneads at what he fancies too... alot...

Everyone should watch the film... in 3D... Great story... Colourful graphics... Witty humour... Johnny Depp... Cheeky cat... What more can you ask for?
